Day 1 Flight to Bayan-Ulgii
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to airport, take a flight to Ulgii town, the center of Bayan-Ulgii province by domestic airline. Our local staff will greet and welcome you at the airport. Lunch at local restaurant and visit ethnographic museum. Travel to Ger camp-Altai and stay overnight there. LD

Day 2 Golden Eagle Festival!

Enjoy the Opening ceremony of the festival, commences as the participants join the parade on horse ride with their eagles. The competition begins with each Kazakh displaying his hunting outfit and accessories. The most elaborate and beautiful clothing and accessories are given the highest points. In the afternoon, the Golden Eagles will be evaluated for their speed and agility. In the evening watch a Kazakh concert consisting of traditional songs and dances. Stay overnight in Ger camp. BLD

Day 3 Golden Eagle Festival! 

Prepare for some exciting action today! The Golden Eagles will be released from a cliff to attack fox skins that will be dragged by their owner on horseback. The eagles will be judged on their success of grabbing the "fox", their speed, and "gripping" technique. As the points for the competitions are being tallied, the Kazakhs will compete in their traditional game called "kekbar"- passing goat skin which tests one's horse riding skills, strength and agility. In the late afternoon, the winners of the festival will be announced at the awards ceremony. In the evening, enjoy a celebration dinner. Stay overnight in Ger camp. BLD

Day 4 Visit Kazakh family

Today we will visit Kazakh families in their setllement. Their Gers are slightly larger than Mongolian Gers, and are decorated with brightly colored rugs. We will enjoy their hospitality and friendliness and learn more in deep about their culture. You will see their traditional technology to make colorful rug. Evening we are up to a highlight of the day to have "bisparmak" which are real Kazakh dishes prepared for respectful guests! Stay overnights in Ger camp. BLD

Day 5 Flight back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast we will visit local market then transfer to local airport for taking flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. End of the service. B

Included: All activities described in the itinerary, Ger camp stay (4nights) in countryside, English speaking guide service, entrance fee to Protected Area and Golden Eagle festival, all transfers by 4WD Russian minivan in the countryside. Meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner as mentioned per day itinerary.
Excluded: International transportation to and from Mongolia, travel insurance, hotel stay in Ulaanbaatar, mineral (bottled) water and alcoholic drinks, tips and gratuities, laundry and items of a personal nature.
