Day 1 Travel to historical place Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Lake
Travel to Khar Zurkhnii Khukh lake about 4hours drive for 200kms to the east of Ulaanbaatar. Imagine something unique while walking around the historical area where in 1189, Lord Chinggis became the King of whole Mongolian tribes. Khar Zurkh lake is located in the north of the center of Tsenkhermandal soum of Khentii province. Stay overnight in tent. LD
Day 2 Mystery of ancient Buddhist monastery.
Continue travel to ruin of Baldan Bereeven monastery for 68kms. The monastery was one of the largest and most famous 3 monasteries in Mongolia and home to 5000 monks during 18th-20th centuries. We will visit the site and explore all the magic around it. After that we continue trekking along the mountain valley for 2-3 hours. In the evening we will meet a local trail finder who will guide us along our journey in this mythical land. Stay overnight in tent. BLD
Day 3 Trek to Jargalant community
After hearty breakfast we will start our trek to Jargalant valley about 8-10kms where we visit a community of herders and to learn more about their ancient nomadic lifestyle. Our entire luggage and camping equipments will be carried on pack horses or ox carts - traditional mode of transport, and will
reach to next camping spots. Few days during our trek no vehicle supports our trip. Visit to nomad family and taste traditional dairy products of dried curds, Mongolian salty milk tea and fried biscuit, butter and so on. Stay overnight in Mongolian Ger. BLD
Day 4 Experiencing the nomadic way of life
Start your morning with nomadic breakfast. You will have an experience and a challenge of nomadic life in rustic condition. The hostess of the family will show and teach you how to produce tasty and nutritious dairy products including "aaruul" dried curds, "byaslag" Mongolian cheese and blend
Mongolian traditional vodka called "Shimiin arkhi". You can talk with nomad people and get more familiar with their nature loved unique lifestyle. Stay overnight in Mongolian Ger. BLD
Day 5-7 Journey to Uglugch wall
You will trek for 70kms to Uglugch wall, the famous historical and archaeological site. While enjoying pristine nature you will feel and get the energy of the area. Our day trek will take about 5-6hours for 18-23kms. On the way we will see Deer stones remained from 7-9th century at the valley of Dund Jargalant. Stay overnights in tent & in Eco-lodge. BLD
Day 8 Trek to famous historical site
We will trek to and around the Uglugch wall about 3-4 hours. Exploring around the ancient burial archaeological site, and surrounding area. Evening enjoy learning how to cook Mongolian dish. Stay overnight in Eco-lodge. BLD
Day 9 Trek to cultural heritage site Rashaan Khad
Today we will trek to famous historical and cultural site Rashaan Khad for 16-18kms where ancient petroglyphs, carvings of tribe stamps and Arabia-Persian, Chinese, Tibetan, Mongolian old scripts are found. Many findings such as tools belong to Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic Stone Ages, deer stones belong to Early Bronze Age and graves of Huns and Kidan Empires are common excavated in this area. Stay overnight in tent. BLD
Day 10-11 Horse trek along Onon River
You will enjoy horse riding trek for 2 days. Riding along Onon river through the truly birthplace of great Chinggis Khaan. Our day horse riding will take about 6-7 hours for 20-25kms. In our way we can see and explore many interesting places related to the history of 13th century and onwards, those all are scientifically important and famous. You have advantages to learn more deeply about horse based unique culture of Mongols. Stay overnights in tent nearby Onon river. BLD
Day 12 Visit to Batshireet village & Children's eco club
Continue horse riding to central village of Batshireet soum (administration unit). There we will visit the Children's Eco-Club and be introduced local initiatives and involvement of the children for environmental protection and ecological issues. From here we will continue our trip by car (minivan) to
the summer camp of local Buryat ethnic people. Here you will visit local cheese factor and enjoy tasting several brand products of the area. Stay overnight in wooden huts of Buryat families. BLD
Day 13 Travel and explore around Local Protected Area
Travel to Khavtgar, the largest local protected area in Mongolia, covers 104000 hectares of beautiful landscape which is home to many endangered species. The Khavtgar LPA was established at the initiative of the local people and implements community-based natural resources management. You can enjoy rich wildlife of the area. Stay overnight in the wooden hut as called Daamaach. BLD
Day 14 Trek and wildlife safari
Day trek for wildlife safari in Khavtgar. Also you can enjoy birding & flower watching. For dinner you will enjoy traditional meal "Khorkhog", truly Mongolian barbeque! This is going to be made in real traditional way; the meat dish is grilled with hot stones, and has a unique taste. Stay overnight in tent. BLD
Day 15 Travel to Gun Galuut Nature reserve
Continue our trip to Gun Galuut nature reserve where protects wild mountain sheep about 5-6hours drive for 260kms. Stay overnight in Ger camp. BLD
Day 16 Look for wild sheep Argali
Trekking in the nature reserve for explore wild sheep in the mountain. Stay overnight in Ger camp. BLD
Day 17 Travel back to Ulaanbaatar
Travel back to Ulaanbaatar about 2hours drive for 130kms. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. End of the service. B
